This policy applies to marnovahospitality.com and to any enquiry you send us through it. It explains what we collect, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Marnova Hospitality is a hotel management and franchise company based in Bangkok, Thailand. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide why and how it is used.
We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under the Personal Data Protection Act, because we do not monitor people on a large scale and we do not handle sensitive personal data. Data protection questions go to info@marnovahospitality.com, which is read by our team in Bangkok.
Information you give us. Our website has one enquiry form. When you use it we collect the following, and nothing else:
Only your name and email address are required. Everything else is optional, and you can send us a useful enquiry without it.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of visitors and basic technical information about the browser and device used. These are kept for security and troubleshooting.
Spam protection. The enquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which analyses how a visitor interacts with the page in order to tell people from automated bots. This involves Google receiving your IP address and interaction data, and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms of service. We do not see or store that data ourselves.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used: which pages are read, how visitors arrived, and roughly where in the world they are. This sets cookies on your device and sends Google your IP address, which Google shortens before storing it, so we never see your full IP address and cannot identify you from these reports. We do not use this data for advertising, and we have turned off sharing it with Google for advertising purposes.
We use the information you send for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it, and to continue that conversation if you want us to. That may include arranging a call, a site visit or a demonstration of our system, and preparing a proposal.
Our lawful basis is that you asked us to. Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) we rely on the necessity of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the equivalent grounds in Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f).
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it. We will not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
Your enquiry is stored in two places, and sent to one mailbox:
Only Marnova staff who need to respond to enquiries have access. We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
International transfers. These providers are based outside Thailand, so your data is transferred abroad. We use established international providers who contract to protect personal data to recognised standards, including standard contractual clauses where those apply.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner than this at any time, and we will.
Under the PDPA, and under the GDPR where it applies, you can ask us to:
To exercise any of these, write to info@marnovahospitality.com. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee, or to the data protection authority in your own country if you are outside Thailand.
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and email is sent over an encrypted connection to our mail provider. Access to the website and the mailbox is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care, and we will tell you and the authorities if a breach affects you and the law requires it.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share what we collect with advertisers. The website sets what is needed to work correctly, and two Google services set cookies of their own:
If you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every website, and most browsers let you block or delete cookies for this site. Neither affects your ability to use the website or to send us an enquiry.
This website is intended for hotel owners, asset managers and investors. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 20, the age of majority under Thai law.
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this policy and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the website.
For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, write to info@marnovahospitality.com, or to Marnova Hospitality Company Limited at the registered office above.
